International soccer is returning to Kyle Field as Argentina national football team prepares to face Honduras national football team on June 6, 2026 in College Station, Texas.
The match, part of the Road to 26 presented by Turkish Airlines, is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will serve as another major step toward the upcoming World Cup. It also marks only the second international soccer match ever hosted at Kyle Field, one of college football’s most iconic stadiums.
Argentina enters the match as the reigning World Champion and one of the biggest attractions in global sports. Led by Lionel Messi, the roster features elite international talent and one of the most successful national teams in soccer history.
Known as “La Albiceleste,” Argentina has won three World Cups and currently sits near the top of the FIFA rankings. The team previously defeated Honduras 3-0 in their last meeting back in 2022.
Texas continues becoming a major destination for international soccer, especially with the World Cup approaching. Kyle Field previously hosted Mexico vs Brazil in 2024, drawing more than 85,000 fans and creating one of the biggest soccer crowds in the state’s history.
Now, Argentina’s arrival is expected to bring another massive atmosphere to College Station, with fans from across Texas likely traveling to see Messi and the defending world champions in person.
The Road to 26 series has already featured major international teams and continues building excitement ahead of the World Cup. Following the Texas match, Argentina will travel to face Iceland on June 9 as part of its final preparations before defending its world title this summer.
Tickets for Argentina vs Honduras officially go on sale Wednesday, April 15 at 9 a.m. Fans can register now for exclusive presale access through the official Road to 26 platform.
With Messi, Argentina, and a World Cup atmosphere heading to Texas, this is expected to become one of the biggest soccer events in the state during 2026.
